Overview
SentinelX is a conceptual cybersecurity operations dashboard designed to help security teams quickly understand system risk and act on critical threats.
Rather than designing a full product suite, this project focuses intentionally on the most critical surface in a security tool: the main dashboard , where decisions are made under pressure.

Challenge
Cybersecurity dashboards often fail at the moment they are needed most.
Common issues include:
- Too much data competing for attention
- Poor prioritization of critical threats
- Dashboards that report activity but don’t guide action
- Alert fatigue caused by visual noise
The goal here was to reframe the dashboard as a decision engine, not just an information display.
Goals
Design a dashboard that:
- Makes critical threats instantly visible
- Prioritizes severity over volume
- Reduces cognitive load during incidents
- Encourages fast, confident action
Rather than designing many screens, the focus was on depth, not breadth, thus optimizing the single screen users rely on most.
Solution
SentinelX introduces a severity-first security dashboard designed to reduce cognitive load and help teams act quickly during active incidents.
- A threat overview that prioritizes critical, high, and medium risks to surface what needs immediate attention
- An action-focused incident panel that highlights urgent threats and recommended responses
- Calm, purpose-driven data visualizations that support fast pattern recognition without overwhelming users
Outcome
SentinelX demonstrates how thoughtful UX design can:
- Reduce alert fatigue
- An action-focused incident panel that highlights urgent threats and recommended responses
- Support faster security decisions
The result is a dashboard that functions as a decision hub, not just an information display.
